Come and join Megson for an enjoyable weekend of music & songwriting!
Led by Stu this weekend retreat is for anyone who loves music and songwriting – regardless if they play an instrument or have ever written anything before…
Included in the retreat are 6 workshops, song sharing jam sessions, one-to-one sessions and plenty of time to chat and make friends with other people interested in music and songwriting.
Also included is an evening performance by award winning duo Megson – that’s us!
The retreat is set at Villiers Park Educational Trust, Foxton near Cambridge. The park is an attractive and comfortable residential training centre set in beautiful grounds on the edge of the Cambridgeshire village of Foxton. Accommodation is in en-suite study bedrooms (single, twin or triple).
Meals at Villiers Park are served in their licensed restaurant which is often praised for the excellent quality of the food. Villiers Park is on the A10 between Cambridge and Royston, with easy access from the M11, and a couple of minutes’ walk from Foxton railway station (on the London King’s Cross to Cambridge line). The Centre has ample free on-site parking for delegates.

Welcome drink followed by introductory welcome by Megson.
2 Course dinner, served with home-made bread and dipping oils, at Villiers Park.

Saturday
Breakfast at Villiers Park
Workshops on The Basics of Songwriting, Sources Of Inspiration, From Page To Song & From Melody To Lyrics.
Songwriting & Music Assignments and review sessions.
Individual and group song-writing time.
Mid morning & afternoon refreshment breaks, 2 course buffet lunch and 2 course dinner, served with home-made bread and dipping oils, at Villiers Park included.
Evening round robin song sharing session.

Sunday
Breakfast at Villiers Park.
Workshops on Recording Your Own Songs, Making Your Songs Better. Songwriting assignments and review session. Individual and group song-writing time.
Mid morning & afternoon refreshment breaks. 2 course buffet lunch.
Refreshments and farewell greeting from Megson.
