In July 2014 we spent some time at The Stapleford Granary, Cambridge recording this live version of STILL I LOVE HIM. The normal version is available on our new album IN A BOX – hope you enjoy!
We are really excited about heading out on the road this Autumn and catching up with some of you again – here are all the dates!
Last week we performed at the 50th Cambridge Folk Festival alongside folk superstars Richard Thompson, Roseanne Cash and Van Morrison. While backstage we reocrded ths exclusive version of one of our new songs, DIRTY CLOTHES, for the Cambridge Folk Festival TV. We managed to get the song recorded just before a massive thunder storm hit the site! Check the recording out HERE.
To celebrate the arrival of our summer festival season we though that a lovely thing to do would be to give away a FREE TRACK from our brand new album “in a box”. BET BEESLEY & HER WOODEN MAN was written by J. P. Robson a song writer, collector and publisher from Newcastle upon Tyne in 1850 and describes the calamitous wedding of a sailors widow and a Nabob, the widow only finding out on the wedding night that her new husband has two wooden legs! There is also some great fiddle playing on the track from our freind SETH LAKEMAN. You can download the free track HERE. And if you like it then please spread the word!
We are honoured to be included in the line-up for this years Cambridge Folk Festival. Other acts on the bill for the 50th year of the festival include Richard Thompson, Roseanne Cash, Sinead O’Connor and Newton Faulkner. Our main show will be on the Saturday, but we shall also be performing a Family Folk Show on Friday lunchtime. Unfortunately tickets are already sold out, but there is always next year!
