Our good friends at Stapleford Granary in Cambridge are setting up a Folk Ensmble, with Stu as the musical director! It’s open to all ages for anyone who plays a folky instrument, or can sing – all abilities welcome.
We’ll be learning folk songs from Britain, Ireland and USA with plenty of performance opportunities across the year. So if you fancy a bit of musical fun can can put up with Stu for a few hours the check out the details below!

Nominated for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Stu Hanna invites you to join a new Folk Music Ensemble. As a performer, Stu is well known for his folk duo Megson. With his enthusiasm for performing and teaching, Stu invites you to join him to play and learn folk music from the UK and further afield. This is an excellent opportunity to receive expert coaching and guidance from one of the UK’s greatest contemporary folk talents. Who knows, we may even playat the Cambridge Folk Festival!
Open to all ages on all folk instruments and vocals.
The course concludes with a presentation at 16.00 on the final Saturday.
