Back in October 2012 MEGSON performed at The Stables, Milton Keynes – one of the countries most prestigious music & arts venues. While there they recorded a music promo video in the venues’ Stage 2 performance space. Here is THE OLD MINER from “THE LONGSHOT” album, released back in 2010.  The video was directed & produced by Jake Strickland.

Megson are out on the road again in November.  The next stop of the tour is at one of the most diverse cultural venues in the UK ;  The Junction, Cambridge. Tickets are available from The Junction Website and doors open at 7:00pm. Many venues have limited capacity so please get your tickets early or check with the venue before travelling long distances. We have a star studded show coming up at Cecil Sharp House, Camden, London.  MEGSON & FRIENDS featuring LUCY WARD and THE WILLOWS – THURSDAY 18th Oct. Winner of the Horizon Award at the 2012 BBC RADIO 2 FOLK AWARDS, Lucy Ward has had a meteoric rise in the UK folk scene – whilst Cambridge quintet THE WILLOWS  release their debut album BENEATH OUR HUMBLE SOIL in Spring 2013 after some production help from Megson’s own Stu Hanna. Tickets £13 from 020 7485 2206 or http://www.efdss.org/ , also available on the door. Doors open 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start.

Calling all folk musicians and singers! Fancy spending the day with Megson and learning various aspects of perofmring folk music ? Presented by cultural charity The ACE Foundation, Cambridge Folk Day will be a one day intensive learning course on many aspects of folk music –  led by your very own Stu & Debs Megson. The course will take place on Sunday 14th October 2012 and is open to all level musicians, from beginner to accomplished, from school age to retirement.
